چکیده

PaleoDNA testing is becoming one of the most complex areas modern biotechnology. Modern technologies make it possible to qualitatively extract DNA and test by various methods, including determination Y-chromosome haplogroup mitochondrial DNA. The paper describes results determining Y-DNA haplogroups two ancient burial sites XII-XIV centuries from middle course Klyazma. data obtained determine Y-haplogroup markers identified in study. article technology using bioinformatics methods result obtained, which with high probability determines Y-haplogroups R1a-M458-L1029 I1-Z58. This work summarizes initial stage research undertaken 2019-2020. first evidence presence R1a-M458 I1-Z58 among Klyazma population Northeastern Russia not only supports point view R1a for all medieval Russian lands (inhabited descendants Eastern Slavs), but also hints that a certain genetic unity western parts area Slavs may exist (since serious concentrations are observed part Slavic area).

Ancient DNA from Human and Animal

Research on ancient DNA (aDNA) has the potential to enable molecular biologists and archeologists to decipher certain aspects of history by direct looking into the past. However, several major problems in this field limit the applicability of aDNA studies, most importantly contamination with modern DNA and postmortem DNA degradation. In this study we extracted and analyzed aDNA obtained from ~3...

Ancient mitochondrial DNA from hair

The DNA content of hair [1,2] is typically low compared to other tissues, as hair cells undergo dehydration and catabolic breakdown of nucleic acids and organelles during keratinisation [3]. As a consequence, ancient hair specimens have not been widely used as a source of ancient DNA. However, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) has been extracted from degraded and old hair samples, including burnt speci...

Genetic analyses from ancient DNA.

About 20 years ago, DNA sequences were separately described from the quagga (a type of zebra) and an ancient Egyptian individual. What made these DNA sequences exceptional was that they were derived from 140- and 2400-year-old specimens. However, ancient DNA research, defined broadly as the retrieval of DNA sequences from museum specimens, archaeological finds, fossil remains, and other unusual...

Opisthorchiasis in infant remains from the medieval Zeleniy Yar burial ground of XII-XIII centuries AD

We present a paleoparasitological analysis of the medieval Zeleniy Yar burial ground of the XII-XII centuries AD located in the northern part of Western Siberia. Parasite eggs, identified as eggs of Opisthorchis felineus, were found in the samples from the pelvic area of a one year old infant buried at the site. Presence of these eggs in the soil samples from the infant's abdomen suggests that ...
